I’m not afraid of snakes, I’m not afraid of clowns.
I’m not afraid of heights, I’m not afraid to drown.
I’m not scared to jump, I’m not scared to cry.
I’m not scared to fail, I’m not scared to die.
I’m not afraid of bugs, I’m not afraid of sharp thorns.
I’m not afraid of darkness, I’m not afraid to be burned.
I’m not scared of spiders, I’m not scared to be broke.
I’m not scared of cancer, I’m not scared of mean jokes.
I’m not scared to lose, I’m not afraid to bleed.
But I’m afraid to admit that I’m scared you’ll stop loving me.

Hey, girl ...
"I heard once that well behaved women rarely make history, so, be a bad ass and don’t regret a thing. We all die. The goal of life isn’t to live forever; it’s to create something that will. I try hard to make people happy, but in reality everyone needs to go out there and find happiness for themselves. I always keep my head up, and you better believe I have looked back, but I have learned not to, for everything that occurs happens for a reason. Try your best at first impressions, because you only have one kiss, one chance, one dance to be the difference between happily ever after and “yeah she’s just some girl I knew.” When something hurts you, stay mad as long as you can because once it gets you upset, it takes nothing but time to get over it. So you should always be careful on whom you waste your time with, they may not be here tomorrow. Although, you should never forget what they did to you, but never let them know that you remember. I feel if you want something, you have to go out there and take what’s yours, because nothing is impossible. Don’t you ever pray when it rains, if you don’t give thanks when it shines, because you don’t deserve it. Always count your blessings, for they’re long gone, girl. My adventure has begun since the day I was born, and you better believe I'm gonna shine as greatly as the sun. I’ve always been a dreamer. Too often in life, I see girls chasing after something, that isn’t after them. I truly believe the only guy you deserve, is the one who thinks he doesn’t. Everybody can change, for better or for worse, but the only way you’ll ever change is if you give up your old ways. Love is a strong word, and too many people out there throw it around like its nothing. Love is a fire, but whether it’s going to warm your heart or burn your house down, you can never tell but take the risk anyway. Love is pain, tears, confusion, and will break you down, but also it will give you life. Never think about right and wrong, just live life, cross your fingers and hope for the best. For heavens not a place you go when you die, it’s that moment in life when you actually feel alive. Twenty years from now, you’ll be more upset by the things you didn’t do, than the things that you did. Goodbyes are harder than anything - face pressed against the glass as a tear rolls down your face - it’ll never leave my mind. But always be thankful that you have something that makes saying goodbye so hard. You’ll go through life, not knowing who to trust, for suspicion not proof, ruins everything. So build walls high enough around your heart, where you think no one will climb, so when they do you’ll know it’s oh so right. Everyone makes mistakes, I speak without thinking, act without knowing, drink 'til I can't walk, but I believe god knows I mean well. So many girls need to believe that men and women love each other, that they go home to each other every night. They believe that it will happen to them, eventually. Boys, it’s easy for a good girl to go bad, don’t be that reason. You guys got to learn how to treat them right because once that good girl is gone, she’s gone forever. Always remember, "Lucky is the man who is the first love of the woman, luckier is the woman who is the last love of a man". Never fight your feelings, it only makes things complicated and turns into a game. Speak your mind and if nothing happens, realize it’s only for the best. What do you do when he stops loving you? You cry a little then wait for the sun to come up, because it always does. Pain is only temporary, it’s the connections that we make that last forever, and change us in ways we don’t even realize yet. You see, we're all lying in the gutter but some of us; well we're looking at the stars. So girls, this ones to you for being afraid of change, and yet still trying to change things."
"Extraordinary Mind."
"I do not care what SUV you drive, where you reside, and if you know someone who knows someone who knows someone. I do not care if your clothes came from Abercrombie or Wal-Mart, if your trust fund is unlimited or if you have a trust fund at all, and if you are A-list, B-list, or never heard of you list. I only care about the words that flutter from your mind. They are the only thing you truly own, the only thing I will remember you by. Your flashy tee-shirt, your overpriced sneakers, your popularity will not win my heart. I will not look at you any different if you live in a trailer, attend a community college, and your closest friend was bought from Pet Smart. I will not fall in love with your bones and skin. I will not fall in love with the places you have been. I will not fall in love with anything but the words that flutter from your extraordinary mind. Speak your mind, tell me your thoughts, say what you mean and mean what you say. Then my love for you will blossom like a Magnolia in May."
Long time, no update.
I’ve had writer’s block for months. I’ve been kind of wrapped up in this circus, except replace the smelly elephants’ and the crazy monkey with Doctors and my ex boyfriend. I haven’t had inspiration to write about much until today. Life is crazy, ain’t it? One day, you’re determined you’re sick with the worst illness, but you have to smile because you’re certain you’ve found the love of your life, and then the next day the Doctors’ are telling you that you’re going to be just fine, and then that lover ends up being someone you barely even know. It's a bitter-sweet feeling, but it's awful that I'm not sure which situation is sweet and which one is bitter. Life has been one emotional ride for me. So many bumps, swerves, curbs, fast stops, and backing up, pot holes –thank God I always wear my seat belt. Life has been beyond hectic for me lately and through every hard thing I’ve been through –I wouldn’t change it at all. Everything is a learning experience. I’ve learned so much about myself over the past couple of months. I’ve learned that I’m a fighter, but not very independent. I’m extremely kind, but a cold hearted bitch when necessary. I’m negative and naive, but hopeful and guarded. I’m needy and a hopeless romantic, but I’m lonely and single. I have a lot of soul searching to do and I’m excited to change things around and find myself. I’m not sure if a blog is meant for small venting? Who cares, I don’t own a sparkly purple diary anymore.

List
I know Friday's are supposed to be my day to update blog world and give them the inside scoop on my top 10 must have products for the moment, however, I've had a different day and I want to talk about something else. I think beauty products are very important, but I think this post is much more important.
Have you seen that show on MTV, it's called "The Buried Life"? It's a great show, and if you haven't seen it, I'll fill you in really quick. It's about these four guys, they're probably in their early 20's, mid 20's. Anyways, they're best friends and they have a list of 100 things they want to do before they die. Each episode, they try to accomplish one of the things on their list, and they also decide to help a stranger do something they've always wanted to do before they die. It's really a great show, and my favorite part is always watching them help someone do something they've always wanted to accomplish. It's nothing like most of the shows on MTV, it's touching and very entertaining. You should definitely check it out!
Anyways, today I had a major wake up call. I'm not going to go into details about it, but after the dramatic day I had, I started to think about the show. You only live once. You don't get second chances, you can't go back in time and re-do things or re-try things, once that time is gone, it's gone forever. You really have to make the most of things. Your days are numbered and you have to make them count. I started thinking about the things I wanted to do before I die. Not just anything random like, get a manicure with real diamonds on my nails haha, but something real and meaningful. I started thinking about everything I've ever wanted to do and the things I'd like to accomplish in my future. I have some pretty interesting things that I'd put on my list, some may seem far fetched, some may seem impossible or random, but I really want to do these things. I haven't made a list of 100 yet, but this is what I have so far.
1. Adopt a child with Down-syndrome. They make my heart smile and they're the sweetest people in the world. They're so kind and full of life, even if they have a disorder. They're amazing, I couldn't imagine how complete my life would be if I adopted one.
2. Swim with dolphins.
3. Build, open, and run a building where homeless people can stay. I'd like to offer showers, food, and change of clothes for them, too. Times can be tough, not every homeless person is a person who chose to be homeless. I'd like to really help out just because it makes my heart break that I have all of these luxuries like being in warm clothes, sleeping in a comfy bed, and waking up to food in the fridge, and there's those who are wearing the same clothes they've been wearing for weeks, sleeping on a park bench, with food they dug out of a restaurant dumpster. I realize my little building wouldn't help out every homeless person in the world, which is why I'd like to have buildings all over, every state. I think everyone should have a warm place to sleep at every night and food in their tummies, even if you've made some bad decisions in life.
4. Audition for American Idol, and actually make it. I'd be happy with making top 10, but I'd really like to win. It's just been a goal and something I've always wanted to do. Being an American Idol isn't just for those with a great voice, it's for talented people. Someone who's idol worthy, someone everyone wants to look up to because they have the personality you adore and the talent that's hard to find, like my idol :) I want to be what Carrie is to me for people all over the world.
5. Get over my shyness and stage fright, I'd of course have to if I want to complete goal #4.
6. Rescue as many stray animals as I can. Give them a happy home, because every single animal deserves to be loved and happy, just like humans.
7. Play basketball with Michael Jordan and my daddy. I want my daddy to be a part of it because my most memorable moments with my daddy when I was a little girl, was sitting on his lap with my Jordans on, watching the Bulls play. He's taught me everything I know about sports, and he loves Michael Jordan lots. I wouldn't even care if I had to sit out and watch them play one on one, as long as it could happen, and my daddy was there.
8. Write a Grammy winning song. I love to write my own music, and I'd love to write a song that won a Grammy, even if I didn't sing it. As long as it's Grammy worthy :)
9. Attend a Dallas Cowboys game at the new stadium with my daddy, my uncle Rick, and my cousin Kevin. We're the four biggest Cowboys fans in the family and there's nothing like watching a game with those boys on a Sunday, it'd be that much more amazing to be in Dallas with amazing seats, enjoying our beer while cheering for our boys!
10. Sing a duet with Carrie Underwood. Okay, that totally seems far fetched, but anything could happen. Although I'd be completely over the top happy if I could just talk to her for 2 mins, how cool would it be to sing a duet with your favorite singer, your hero, your idol? Yeah, it'd be way cool.
11. Travel to Italy, with my sweetheart.
12. Work behind the scenes of my favorite designer's fashion show at fashion week doing hair and makeup for the beautiful super models! I've always wanted to be behind the scenes and just embrace the high energy, the beauty, and fun. By the way, my favorite designer is Chanel.
13. Take my nana and aunt Janie to Graceland. First of all, they've been in love with Elvis Presley since he came out with his very first song. They'd spend their money and buy his records, and play his records all day long, and even slept to his songs. Their brother was on his way to Graceland to visit with his wife almost 2 years ago. He was very sick with Cancer and like his sisters, he loved Elvis a lot, too. The hospital he was living at paid for him and his wife to go to Graceland, but he didn't make it there. He got half way there and started dying. They immediately flew him back home to be with his family before he passed. I know it was very sad for my aunt and nana to know he didn't make it there like he wanted. Even though they were probably green with envy that he got to go before them, I know they were extremely excited and happy for him, then torn when he didn't make it, and passed away. I'd love to go with them to experience the visit. Those women mean the absolute world to me and their happy faces would make my life if I got to give them that!
14. Donate my time and whatever money I could afford to St.Jude's Hospital. Children make me so happy, but it's the children who are sick and know they don't have a normal life, yet they're still so happy and loving that really make my day. Those kids are more brave than most men I know, and it's really touching. I'd love to just hangout with them and get to know them and their conditions. They're beautiful and absolutely wonderful.
15. Pitch to Albert Pujols :) He doesn't even have to hit a homer from my pitch, I just want to throw him a ball, and it actually make it to home plate for him to hit haha. He's the Michael Jordan of baseball and I love him so much!
16. Buy and restore a 1969 Mustang. I want it black with shimmer in the paint. It has to be a convertible, because I've always pictured myself driving my dream car on a sunny Sunday afternoon with my favorite country song playing, and my hair blowing in the wind :]
17. Get a small tattoo. A pair of angel wings with my great grandma's initials in the middle of it, somewhere on my back. Nothing too big or drastic, I want it to be small and cute, but recognizable. Adding her initials would remind myself always that my angel is with me, and she's always got my back. I didn't get a whole lot of time with her, but the time I had with her was amazing. I wasn't a normal child when she was around. I could of been playing outside, riding my bike, playing with dolls, or watching T.V., but when I was with her ...I just liked to sit at the small kitchen table and talk to her. We talked about everything. Her husband that she was in love with for many years, ghosts, peach pie, wrestling (she swore it was real, I tried to tell her WWE wasn't real, but she was stubborn :) mt.dew, her siblings, etc. The woman was brilliant and I couldn't wait to wake up each day that she was around. I'd wake up, and run into her bedroom to see if she's awake because I couldn't wait to just talk to her about life. If anyone knows me really well, they know she's the reason why I never say "bye" to people I love. The last time I saw her, I was leaving to go to dinner with my daddy, and I gave her a big hug and told her "bye". I came back home later that night, and she was gone. She went back to her hometown. I never saw her again until I was at her funeral a couple of months later. I knew that "bye" felt wrong the minute I said it. I never wanted those to be my last words to her. She's truly missed and I think about her everyday. She's a fantastic woman that I can't wait to see again.
18. Toss a football around with Troy Aikman. I don't care if he doesn't have the most touch downs in history, the most completed passes, or has thrown the most yards, he introduced me to Dallas Cowboys football. I watched because of him. And damn, is he still sexy or what? Ahhh ;]
19. Rock Michael Vick in the nose, then spit on his expensive shoes that's probably made from alligator skin. Worthless piece of SHIT. :] it's not at all lady like, but he can kiss my ass for the cruel things he's done to doggies.
20. Place first place in my boyfriends fantasy baseball league :D
21. Write a book. A love story, that's up there with The Notebook and gives Nicholas Sparks a run for his money.
22. Watch my baby sister and brother (Jordan and Jaden) graduate high school.
23. Make out in the pouring rain -I know, cheesy, but I've never done it?
24. Learn how to box, and I want pink boxing gloves.
25. Climb a mountain with my best friend. He's adventurous and funny, it'd be the most entertaining thing I could do in my life lol.
Okay, so it's late and I'm currently having a Skype date with my lover. I'll have to finish my list soon, but I hope this post makes you think about life and the things you want to do. Nothing is impossible so start living!
xoxo

Valentine xoxo
For the first time in 20 years, I had a Valentine :] Normally, I'm a bit of a scrooge when it comes to the Holiday. I used to think it was completely overrated and it just sucked. I'd spend my day rolling my eyes at the cute little couples being all mushy gushy, and then I'd spend my night in bed ...with Ben and Jerry. This year was completely different. My amazing boyfriend put me in good spirit and I decided to bake for him :]

Cute, I know :] I also sent him other stuff along with his cookies, he loved it :] Then I was surprised by an e-mail. Not an E-Card, or sweet nothings typed into paragraphs ...no, no, no ...I got the best gift ever. An invite to join his fantasy baseball league!!!! Now, if you've been following along with my blog, you'll know why this is such a big deal to me :] First of all, it's a "No Chicks Allowed" league, and I broke into it, kind of a big deal. Second of all, I just really can't wait to show these guys what's up hehe. Anyways, that e-mail totally made my day and to me, was the best present ever lol. Then, yesterday, I received the most beautiful bouquet of roses, with the cutest little teddy bear and card :] He's so great and I can't stop smelling the pretty roses, ahhhhh!

I'm looking forward to many more Valentine's Days with him! I never saw myself being this happy, ever. I mean, I had hoped for it and I've wanted this happiness for so long, I've just always thought it wouldn't happen to me...I kind of figured this happiness only existed in fairy tales. He's my best friend, the greatest guy. He's 8 hours away from me, attending K.State and making me so proud, and I still had the greatest Valentine's Day. I for once had no urge to roll my eyes at the cute couples, because I finally have something in common with them :]

My weekly top 10 must haves. Keep up with me, ladies!

1. TIGI Catwalk Curls Rock Curl Booster - Ahh yes, I have the sleek, straight and smooth locks, but I like change! I refuse to wear my hair straight every day, a girl needs to pump up the volume! I like curly, it's flattering on me and I personally think I look better with bigger hair. I unfortunately don't have natural luscious curls, so I have to make them -no problem! If I want to wear my hair in curls, it's a bit of a struggle for me since my hair is so straight. I have to prepare the night before if I want perfect curly hair. Before I head off to bed, I'll wash and blow dry my hair , you don't want any damped hair, must be bone dry! Then I'll take these sponge curlers (you can buy at any drug/cosmetic store) and section my hair into small separates, and then begin to wrap and snap. You want to make sure it rolls tight and secure! For a nice tight hold, lightly spray your favorite hairspray over the rollers just so the curls hold better, if you want. The sponge rollers come in all different shapes and sizes, choose which would be best for you and the look you're going for. For my hair, I'd have to sleep in the curlers of course, so I do. If you have hair that curls and holds pretty easily, then you may not have to sleep in them, just wear in your hair for about 2-4 hours before you do your hair! Anyways, when I wake up in the morning, I'll take the rollers out without running my fingers through the curls, don't touch yet! Then, here comes product time :), you spray in the curl booster all over your nice, bouncy curls. Grab your blow dryer, turn on low heat, and dry for about 5 minutes. You really want to make sure the curl booster is dry before you begin to style! After drying, you can brush the curls out if you're going for a light-loose curl look, more on the wavy side. If you're wanting the pretty, bouncy curls, just run your fingers through them softly, some what separating them and giving your hair more volume. You won't need to use any product for shine, frizzing, shaping or defining because that one product takes care of it all! Seriously, it's the best for curly hair, I love it. Try all of their products if you have gorgeous curls you love to rock out, you will never be disappointed!
2. Eyelash Curler - It looks like an extremely painful tool, it's not ...if you know how to use it lol! I'm obsessed with anything MAC brand, so of course that's the brand of mine, but you can buy them anywhere for a cheaper price. Long eyelashes are always sexy, if you also agree then I'd suggest buying one of these babies! After you apply your eyeshadow and liner, and it's completely dry, it's time to use the curler. Don't add mascara just yet, that comes after curling because you don't want any smearing or lash breaking! Now if you're using false eyelashes, make sure the glue is plenty dry as well before curling, otherwise the false is bound to come off and stick to the curler...yikes! Make sure everything is completely dry. Then you're going to take your curler and place your upper lashes on the mouth of the product. Close your eye tightly, then open it, all of the lashes should move nicely onto the mouth preparing to curl. You want to make sure every lash curls. Make sure the curler comes to the base of the lashes, but not touching your lid, it will be a painful pinch if so when clamped. Keep your eye open, then slowly close the curler. Hold the clamp closed for about 10 seconds and repeat as needed for extra volume. Then repeat the same exact steps for the other eye! You then can add your mascara to your beautiful, curled lashes :D This can be painful if you don't follow the steps correctly, and it takes some time getting used to. Make sure you occasionally clean the curler pad off after using.
3. MAC crushed metal pigment - It's almost mid February, still in winter season but spring is right around the corner! The color of your eyeshadow is very important. You want a great color that will make your eyes stand out, something that blends in with your top, and the hottest color for the season. I mentioned once that I was completely obsessed with MAC products, I love MAC brand. My current favorite eyeshadow is MAC brand and worth every penny! Unfortunately, you can't go to your local Wal-mart or Walgreen's to pick this up, so I'd suggest ordering it off the MAC website. (www.MACcosmetics.com) It's $32.50, but like I said ...worth every penny! It's 4 different containers of eyeshadow, and the colors are to die for. You can rock it out in the winter time at the hottest New Years Eve party (which is over, but I'm talking next year lol) or wear at any spring time wedding! The colors are: Pale Pink Frost, Mid-tone Rose Frost, Light Lilac Frost, and Dark Purple Frost. Just pick the color that's suitable for the occasion and that would match your top, and apply. You don't always have to match your shadow with your shirt, but face it...no one can rock out purple shadow with a red top, not even Lady Gaga ...so not cute! MAC brand is fantastic because it has high pigments in their shadows which stick to your lids all day long and you never have to worry about re-applying. The colors are so frosty (obviously, the word 'frost' is in the color name :) and the colors really bring out the color of your eyes. Definitely a must have, ladies!
4. Escada Sentiment Perfume - Another favorite. I get the most compliments on this perfume. It smells divine and makes you feel pretty. The scent lingers ...for days. It still smells amazing 3 days later after spraying some on my Northface, ha :) I absolutely suggest this as a gift for her to any gentleman for any occasion :D
5. Caress Berry-indulging Body Wash - I've never been big on anything smelling like raspberries, but OMG I'm SO in love with this body wash. It's creamy, pink gel leaves your skin feeling and looking so soft. It smells so fruity and yummy, just amazing :) It also works great as a shaving cream, it's thick and smooth, then moisturizes your skin! A total must have for shower time!
6. O.P.I. Nail Lacquer - You can't go wrong with this nail polish -ever! It's a salon brand, but order it for yourself if you don't feel like paying for over-priced manicures. This brand is a little bit more expensive than the Covergirl polish you could buy at Wal-mart, but it's so much better than any nail polish out there! It doesn't easily chip, it provides vitamins and minerals for your nails, and there's so many more colors to choose from! They have an awesome collection of dark, bright, pastel, and neutral colors!
7. Aquafina Water - Yes, bottled water is in this weeks beauty must haves! Not only do you need water all year-round, but you definitely need it during winter to stay hydrated. It doesn't just hydrate your body, but your skin also. Soda has caffeine which can cause break outs and pimples -for clearer, healthier skin with a beautiful glow, drink water. I prefer Aquafina over any other bottled brand!
8. One A Day Women's Vitamins - I'm not a total vegetarian, I do eat white meat, but I refuse pork and beef. If you're like me, or a vegetarian, you need to get your vitamins. I miss out on the vitamins pork and beef provide, so I have to take one of these once a day. Any woman should take their vitamins unless their doctor says else. It supports breast and bone health, which is great for me because I am not a fan of milk, either! For a healthier you, take your vitamins!
9. M.D. Bronze Self-Tanner & Instant Bronzer - I was really cautious about fake baking. I'm concerned with types of skin cancer and have always been worried. I shied away from tanning until my dermatologist suggested tanning to kind of dry up my skin since it can be oily in the summer time. I searched and searched for a good lotion and I finally came across one. Not only does this lotion help give you a deep, bronzed tan and leaves you streak-free, it helps fight against skin cancer and aging! You could easily spend $75.00 on musky smelling tanning lotion that leaves you feeling greasy and looking like leather, or you could go the smart route, spend $49.95 and get a perfect tan while protecting your precious skin! Of course, looking good is important, but so is your health and skin! Be tan and smart!
10. Santa Maria Novella Almond Foot Cream - Just because it's UGG season doesn't mean you should neglect your feet! Get prepared for flip flop season! Put some O.P.I. lacquer on those toes and rub some of this fantastic foot cream on your feet after bathing. It makes your feet feel soft and smooth, eliminates dryness, roughness and calluses. It has a great fragrance, too!
