I know Friday's are supposed to be my day to update blog world and give them the inside scoop on my top 10 must have products for the moment, however, I've had a different day and I want to talk about something else. I think beauty products are very important, but I think this post is much more important.
Have you seen that show on MTV, it's called "The Buried Life"? It's a great show, and if you haven't seen it, I'll fill you in really quick. It's about these four guys, they're probably in their early 20's, mid 20's. Anyways, they're best friends and they have a list of 100 things they want to do before they die. Each episode, they try to accomplish one of the things on their list, and they also decide to help a stranger do something they've always wanted to do before they die. It's really a great show, and my favorite part is always watching them help someone do something they've always wanted to accomplish. It's nothing like most of the shows on MTV, it's touching and very entertaining. You should definitely check it out!
Anyways, today I had a major wake up call. I'm not going to go into details about it, but after the dramatic day I had, I started to think about the show. You only live once. You don't get second chances, you can't go back in time and re-do things or re-try things, once that time is gone, it's gone forever. You really have to make the most of things. Your days are numbered and you have to make them count. I started thinking about the things I wanted to do before I die. Not just anything random like, get a manicure with real diamonds on my nails haha, but something real and meaningful. I started thinking about everything I've ever wanted to do and the things I'd like to accomplish in my future. I have some pretty interesting things that I'd put on my list, some may seem far fetched, some may seem impossible or random, but I really want to do these things. I haven't made a list of 100 yet, but this is what I have so far.
1. Adopt a child with Down-syndrome. They make my heart smile and they're the sweetest people in the world. They're so kind and full of life, even if they have a disorder. They're amazing, I couldn't imagine how complete my life would be if I adopted one.
2. Swim with dolphins.
3. Build, open, and run a building where homeless people can stay. I'd like to offer showers, food, and change of clothes for them, too. Times can be tough, not every homeless person is a person who chose to be homeless. I'd like to really help out just because it makes my heart break that I have all of these luxuries like being in warm clothes, sleeping in a comfy bed, and waking up to food in the fridge, and there's those who are wearing the same clothes they've been wearing for weeks, sleeping on a park bench, with food they dug out of a restaurant dumpster. I realize my little building wouldn't help out every homeless person in the world, which is why I'd like to have buildings all over, every state. I think everyone should have a warm place to sleep at every night and food in their tummies, even if you've made some bad decisions in life.
4. Audition for American Idol, and actually make it. I'd be happy with making top 10, but I'd really like to win. It's just been a goal and something I've always wanted to do. Being an American Idol isn't just for those with a great voice, it's for talented people. Someone who's idol worthy, someone everyone wants to look up to because they have the personality you adore and the talent that's hard to find, like my idol :) I want to be what Carrie is to me for people all over the world.
5. Get over my shyness and stage fright, I'd of course have to if I want to complete goal #4.
6. Rescue as many stray animals as I can. Give them a happy home, because every single animal deserves to be loved and happy, just like humans.
7. Play basketball with Michael Jordan and my daddy. I want my daddy to be a part of it because my most memorable moments with my daddy when I was a little girl, was sitting on his lap with my Jordans on, watching the Bulls play. He's taught me everything I know about sports, and he loves Michael Jordan lots. I wouldn't even care if I had to sit out and watch them play one on one, as long as it could happen, and my daddy was there.
8. Write a Grammy winning song. I love to write my own music, and I'd love to write a song that won a Grammy, even if I didn't sing it. As long as it's Grammy worthy :)
9. Attend a Dallas Cowboys game at the new stadium with my daddy, my uncle Rick, and my cousin Kevin. We're the four biggest Cowboys fans in the family and there's nothing like watching a game with those boys on a Sunday, it'd be that much more amazing to be in Dallas with amazing seats, enjoying our beer while cheering for our boys!
10. Sing a duet with Carrie Underwood. Okay, that totally seems far fetched, but anything could happen. Although I'd be completely over the top happy if I could just talk to her for 2 mins, how cool would it be to sing a duet with your favorite singer, your hero, your idol? Yeah, it'd be way cool.
11. Travel to Italy, with my sweetheart.
12. Work behind the scenes of my favorite designer's fashion show at fashion week doing hair and makeup for the beautiful super models! I've always wanted to be behind the scenes and just embrace the high energy, the beauty, and fun. By the way, my favorite designer is Chanel.
13. Take my nana and aunt Janie to Graceland. First of all, they've been in love with Elvis Presley since he came out with his very first song. They'd spend their money and buy his records, and play his records all day long, and even slept to his songs. Their brother was on his way to Graceland to visit with his wife almost 2 years ago. He was very sick with Cancer and like his sisters, he loved Elvis a lot, too. The hospital he was living at paid for him and his wife to go to Graceland, but he didn't make it there. He got half way there and started dying. They immediately flew him back home to be with his family before he passed. I know it was very sad for my aunt and nana to know he didn't make it there like he wanted. Even though they were probably green with envy that he got to go before them, I know they were extremely excited and happy for him, then torn when he didn't make it, and passed away. I'd love to go with them to experience the visit. Those women mean the absolute world to me and their happy faces would make my life if I got to give them that!
14. Donate my time and whatever money I could afford to St.Jude's Hospital. Children make me so happy, but it's the children who are sick and know they don't have a normal life, yet they're still so happy and loving that really make my day. Those kids are more brave than most men I know, and it's really touching. I'd love to just hangout with them and get to know them and their conditions. They're beautiful and absolutely wonderful.
15. Pitch to Albert Pujols :) He doesn't even have to hit a homer from my pitch, I just want to throw him a ball, and it actually make it to home plate for him to hit haha. He's the Michael Jordan of baseball and I love him so much!
16. Buy and restore a 1969 Mustang. I want it black with shimmer in the paint. It has to be a convertible, because I've always pictured myself driving my dream car on a sunny Sunday afternoon with my favorite country song playing, and my hair blowing in the wind :]
17. Get a small tattoo. A pair of angel wings with my great grandma's initials in the middle of it, somewhere on my back. Nothing too big or drastic, I want it to be small and cute, but recognizable. Adding her initials would remind myself always that my angel is with me, and she's always got my back. I didn't get a whole lot of time with her, but the time I had with her was amazing. I wasn't a normal child when she was around. I could of been playing outside, riding my bike, playing with dolls, or watching T.V., but when I was with her ...I just liked to sit at the small kitchen table and talk to her. We talked about everything. Her husband that she was in love with for many years, ghosts, peach pie, wrestling (she swore it was real, I tried to tell her WWE wasn't real, but she was stubborn :) mt.dew, her siblings, etc. The woman was brilliant and I couldn't wait to wake up each day that she was around. I'd wake up, and run into her bedroom to see if she's awake because I couldn't wait to just talk to her about life. If anyone knows me really well, they know she's the reason why I never say "bye" to people I love. The last time I saw her, I was leaving to go to dinner with my daddy, and I gave her a big hug and told her "bye". I came back home later that night, and she was gone. She went back to her hometown. I never saw her again until I was at her funeral a couple of months later. I knew that "bye" felt wrong the minute I said it. I never wanted those to be my last words to her. She's truly missed and I think about her everyday. She's a fantastic woman that I can't wait to see again.
18. Toss a football around with Troy Aikman. I don't care if he doesn't have the most touch downs in history, the most completed passes, or has thrown the most yards, he introduced me to Dallas Cowboys football. I watched because of him. And damn, is he still sexy or what? Ahhh ;]
19. Rock Michael Vick in the nose, then spit on his expensive shoes that's probably made from alligator skin. Worthless piece of SHIT. :] it's not at all lady like, but he can kiss my ass for the cruel things he's done to doggies.
20. Place first place in my boyfriends fantasy baseball league :D
21. Write a book. A love story, that's up there with The Notebook and gives Nicholas Sparks a run for his money.
22. Watch my baby sister and brother (Jordan and Jaden) graduate high school.
23. Make out in the pouring rain -I know, cheesy, but I've never done it?
24. Learn how to box, and I want pink boxing gloves.
25. Climb a mountain with my best friend. He's adventurous and funny, it'd be the most entertaining thing I could do in my life lol.
Okay, so it's late and I'm currently having a Skype date with my lover. I'll have to finish my list soon, but I hope this post makes you think about life and the things you want to do. Nothing is impossible so start living!
xoxo
